Technological developments are encompassing all spheres of life and even agriculture has been digitalized. Accordingly, entrepreneurs should think about adding value to agricultural produce, Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, said on Tuesday.

Interacting with industrialists during his one-day official visit to Kalaburgi, he told, the government aims to promote entrepreneurship in different regions of the state through the ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ program.

The government has introduced a simplified policy to provide land, approval, license, etc which are required for setting up of industries. Besides, it also provides training aiming to improve the success of entrepreneurs and focused on integrating academia, industries, and research experts into a single platform, he explained.

Further, Narayana told, “In the recent years, many entrepreneurs in the state who hail from places other than Bengaluru have drawn attention by achieving success. Their success stories should inspire and motivate the entrepreneur aspirants. In addition to identifying the suitable opportunities, they also should acquire the market knowledge.”

Qualitative education serves as the foundation in creating a new generation of entrepreneurs and the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aspires to achieve this. The policy enables the creation of future entrepreneurs by focusing on the skill development of students by making it a part of their studies, he opined.
