The physical classes of higher education institutions are set ready to resume from July 26 (Monday) as announced earlier, adhering to Covid-19 norms, DyCM, Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, who is also the minister of higher education, stated on Sunday.
This is applicable to all the years of degree, post graduation, engineering and polytechnic colleges.
Students those who have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine are eligible to attend the regular classes and respective staff should have received vaccination at least once. However, students who are willing to attend the off-line classes have to submit the consent letter duly signed by parents in the prescribed format, Narayana informed.
In this regard, The Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) has been issued and institutions are directed to strictly follow the SOPs, DyCM told.
Narayana said, 74% students those who are above 18 have been vaccinated and the remaining will be completed soon.
Other Key Points of SOP:
All the frequently touched areas including furniture, laptops and computers should be sanitized.
Teachers should send content material of each period covering the syllubus for one month in advance through WhatsApp, E-mail or Telegram. These can be in the form of Video lectures, Power Point Presentation, E-notes, E-books, Audio books, Practice questions etc.
Institutions are advised to map with the nearest Primary Health Centres and anyone found with Covid-19 symptoms should be taken there to get tested.
