Actor, Yogi, Model & Athlete all rolled into one is an incredible feat for any young man in his 20s to achieve, this exactly what Varun V is all about & much more.
Born & brought up in Bangalore having done his schooling from St.Lourdes followed by his PUC & Graduation in Commerce from Seshadripuram Composite College in 2012.
Post his graduation he started his corporate career with Gallagher(AJG) which is an insurance BPO where he worked till 2015(followed by other Corporate firms too).Along,with his career, he also started devoting time for his passion to be an actor & model, his first break after many auditions came in the form of ID Idli batter for which he was paid Rs.1500.His good friend & co-actor Siddharth shot his first portfolio.
Varun admits its quite a competitive field to be part of one needs to be always on top of the game & keep a very disciplined lifestyle. He has been part of more than 15+ television commercials & print campaigns for well-known brands like Ola, BYJU’s, Sun Feast, JSW, Accenture to name a few.
More than 1000+ Auditions he has given which includes sharing your video for a specific role/character to the casting directors & it may or may not result in you getting shortlisted followed by zeroed in for the role. Talent plays a part along with a dash of Luck for sure.
Theatre & Stage plays across Karnataka has kept him busy too having worked with We Move Theatre company & Samudaya Tanda.He has played varied roles from an Inspector to Corporate Guy to Mahatma Kabira & even the late celebrated painter M.F.Hussain ! In the English play ‘The Book of Poetry’ he had multiple roles of singing & dancing too on stage which gave him lot of applauds & recognition.
Varun also facilitates Theatre & Yoga workshops for all age groups.In 2019 he has hosted a summer acting workshop through ISCKON for more than 100+ school going kids. He was also teaching yoga for the HDFC School & Reddy International School for 3–15-year-old students. Currently he has Online Yoga classes for all age groups across India & abroad managing many time zones.
His favourite pastime is to go for long bike rides on his 2010 Pulsar which he is very possessive about & loves playing with his 10 year old Labrador-Rock.Varun is a good badminton & table tennis player too.This Nagarbhavi resident comes from a close knit Kannadiga family which includes his father Venkatachalapathy (who retired from the Government of Karnataka in 2012),his home maker mother & elder brother Harsha who is into Game testing as a profession.
Like any other actor he too has gone through the process of self-discovery & fair share of ups & downs, he is fiercely independent too & from an young age used to earning on his own merit. Varun comes across as a bright young man who is always very hopeful & optimistic about the future. Currently single, he doesn’t want too mingle as he says he is married to his work !
